About Strathearn Singers Ladies Choir
The Choir was formed by Mrs Vivienne Cowing and several friends. It has grown rapidly, attracting 28 members to date. The Choir has developed a repertoire comprising classical choir pieces, including many Scottish folk songs. These are sung in two and three part harmony.
Due to a recent grant from Awards for All, a consortium of the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Choir has purchased a mobile electronic piano, allowing it to perform in the many public halls which no longer have a piano.
The Choir gives frequent concerts, many in aid of charity.
